Training Program Opportunities
SASET hosts labour market driven training programs throughout the catchment area, this is separate from the community proposal programs that an individual community may apply for.
This provides the opportunity to maximize funding to targeted training areas and providing intake services and supports for clients to attend the training they have identified in their continuum to employment.
Core programs can include, but are not limited to:
- Construction Foundations Programs
- Basic Security Training
- Customer Service
- Safety Certificate Training: Chainsaw, WHMIS, FoodSafe, OFA Level 1 to 3, Transportation Endorsement, Fall Protection, Confined Space, etc.
- Traffic Control Person Certification
- Health Care Assistant
- Early Childhood Education
- Wildfire Certificate Training
- Warehousing Certification
- Foundations in Landscaping
- Maintenance Worker Certification
- Spring Break “Getting Ready for Summer Employment”
- And others!
